Read the situation and two options. Pick the one you prefer today. There are no points or wrong answers.
Choose, compare, or pass. Tap a card to highlight your choice. It stays on screen so you can talk, and you can change your pick.
Move on when you are ready. Next question also works if neither option appeals. Previous brings back earlier pairs in the current category.
For a quick round with friends, take turns reading five pairs and let everyone answer. In a classroom or meeting, people can point to a side or simply say their choice. For a date, choose separately before revealing your answers. Explaining why is optional in every version.
The game remembers recent draws and choices in your browser when local storage is available. Categories share some questions, but each pair has one identity: a question suitable for several audiences still counts only once in the 200-question library. New draws prefer pairs you have not seen until the selected category has been used up.
Frequently asked questions
What are Would You Rather questions?
They ask you to choose between two imagined situations, abilities, or outcomes. Pick the one you prefer and share your reason if you want. You can also pass.
How many questions are in this game?
There are 200 independent pairs. Some fit more than one category, so category totals overlap. Each list starts with 12 selected pairs; expand it to browse every question in that category.
Can I skip a question or change my choice?
Yes. Next question works without a selection. Tap the other option to change your pick, or use Previous to revisit earlier pairs in the current category.
Will questions repeat when I change categories?
New draws avoid pairs already drawn across categories while unseen pairs remain in the selected category. When that category is exhausted, its pairs become available again. Previous deliberately revisits your history. Clearing browser storage starts fresh.
Does the game show other players' votes?
No. The highlight shows only your own choice. This game does not display global voting percentages or score your personality. Recent choices and draw history stay in your browser when storage is available.
Can teachers and hosts copy these lists?
Yes. Use the Copy all button to copy the entire category, including the short contexts. Review the wording for your group and let anyone pass. Kids is a school-age starting point, not a certified reading level.
How is this different from This or That?
This or That often compares quick everyday preferences. Would You Rather puts more emphasis on imaginary situations and trade-offs. Both can be played by reading two options aloud.
